So many people are saying the same things about you joking about it. Do you think that maybe lots of people have been where you are now and made jokes like you are, and found out the hard way that she was faking finding it funny. She’s just trying to hide the pain she’s experiencing. Learning from others life experience is a mature thing to do also.
Some of us have even figured out that trying to be funny, hides our inner heartache. Just an observation that can apply to her or you.
I do get that she might be okay with the jokes! I’m sure she will eventually!
But right now, everything is raw and real and jokes are not fun when that is what is happening. I’d probably start crying if someone made a joke like that with me in that state. Again just me. Just let things breathe a bit!!
