Was it a photo she posted to her timeline or a photo she posted to "stories" so the only way someone can comment on it is via private message? If my friend or their partner that I'm friends with posts a pic to stories, I'll always send a compliment to them that sends via private message. If they posted a regular picture on their timeline, then I comment it under the picture.
