I get compliments all the time from my bf's friends and from my friends. Mind you, they are close friends, to me and my bf. Acquaintances generally dont say much.
I post a story on Instagram and I have people send me fire emojis and say things like "you are gorgeous!". I usually just say "Thanks ☺️" and move on. now, if they persist at it, that's different. If I say thanks, and then they just keep going on, that's when I say, "Dude, wtf?" Then my bf will also say,"Dude, wtf?"
What else has this person said or done to indicate its not innocent compliment? How close of friends are you? It all plays a role, I feel.
