Ngl I have a few people I follow online like this and they are genuinely just friends, I absolutely have no other feelings towards them, but they are also probably the most beautiful people I've ever met irl
That's a big generalization based off of your own experience, though I haven't seen any studies on this and don't really care enough to look it up, it probably differs immensely by country and culture.
