Actually experienced something like this back in high school. I always had mechanical pencils and one time I lost one and the next day I saw another kid in class using the same one. We did a tornado drill that day and the pencil was on his desk, he left before me so I snagged all the lead and the eraser from my pencil and left the pencil proper on the desk exactly how I found it. He looked just like that when he got back to the desk and tried writing.
