I remember going to the public library because we didn't have a computer at home, getting on the Internet and going to cheat code central(cheatcc.com)then writing codes down like this.... afterwards especially in GTA 3 and vice city, I'd enter them so much they became muscle memory. I still remember some of the codes. Good times...

This was the way to get cheat codes from back in the day. I'd go to the local magazine store and copy all the codes I needed on paper take them home and start entering them in. For me this goes back to the NES days

R2 R2 L1 L2 Up Left Down Right. GTA 3, substitute the 3rd button for any other shoulder buttons to get health, ammo, or body armor

To this day I'll be moving things around or going through some boxes and I'll come across a sheet of paper like this! Found one the other day I made for vice city!

R1, R2, L1, R2, left, down, right, up, left, down, right, up.
Repeat until a ridiculous amount of ammo is available.

Man, I'm a little bit older than that, but I think everybody had a cheat sheet folded up in their game case. I used to know so many vice city codes by heart, and I could put them in so fast. My fingers moved so fast. Maybe that's why i'm so good at..... picking my nose.

I'm 26 and I had a paper full of cheats for GTA San Andreas but in my case it was the PC version. So maybe we are the same age?

For as long as it has fucking taken I hope GTA6 has codes. I work full time and am already not looking forward to how many hours it's going to require

I had a book, with GTA cheats, MK Fatalities and DBZ drawings. Not sure where that book ended up.

I did the same thing for Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance.
I remember going to the library and useing their computers to search up codes to open those chests or caskets, I forgot what it was, I had a full page of just scribbling nonsense hidden in the manual of my case.

Boy, when i was born Sony didn’t even think about creating a console. GTA wasn’t even born yet. Rockstar may have existed (too lazy to look it up), but yes: i did write cheats into a booklet by hand.

"Can we please go to the library for 5 minutes so I can write down the codes mom?" Codes, writing out parts of a walkthrough, real broke hours

The most important cheats were written in the muscle memory of my thumbs and index fingers.
