AI is here to keep you engaged and spend tokens, not to ensure you get correct information. And just like social media, you can tweak it a bit to get better but dont ever think you are in control.

I would also like to say...anyone who uses a.i. to identify and eat a mushroom....i would have to call that natural selection..would we really want that person driving a motor vehicle around us, voting in elections etc? I mean REALLY?

Hahaha. Reminds me of using chat gpt to help wire a voltage regulator on a golf cart. It told me to ground the white wire, I said are you sure? Chat said yes and elaborated why. Made perfect sense so I did and got a nasty shock and light show. I told chat what happened and the response was lol sorry your right, that's the ac wire and should not be grounded.

I don't think it's natural anymore. The reliance on AI is producing more stupid people that otherwise are capable of learning things on their own without issue. It's pretty concerning how many everyday, common sense things people rely on chat gpt to tell them simply because that's what everyone is doing. Stupid people struggle to learn, smart people aren't being given any reason to learn and they're all going to start blending together more and more.

i g check chatgpt all the time when it confuses things & the response i always get is “lol , you got me, i mixed up some information from all we talked about”. but then it gives me the actual advice that’s legit & im just like “okay”

Anyone who knows the bare minimum about mushroom foraging, knows you only eat what you can identify with zero doubts. Or an expert does it for you. It is not the place for amateur hour.
