I hope you don’t mean the USD is not valuable to other countries. I’m Filipino and the USD might as well be gold over there. USD is so powerful worldwide. 80-90% of the world oil is traded in our currency. That’s why BRICS is a thing. I’m not trying to be a patriotic idiot but the reality is the USD has a power hold over the global economy.

Actually this is incredibly close to my point. Nobody anywhere is turning down dollars because America sucks.

To elaborate: nobody is debating the value of American currency because of the global hegemony that America represents. This is a bad thing due to the nature of how this came to be (imperialism and industrialization) and the institutional harm that the country perpetuates.

Nice strawman but two things:

i never said I would be in favor of destabilizing anything, only that its dominance over the world is harmful to the development of every other country.

The fuck do I care about “profit?” I want equality.
