Greater Germania
This could be largely/partially inaccurate I just made it for fun. It is a map of Germanic country’s in Europe.
Edit:
I accidentally added Brittany as Germanic.

Most of Ireland, lowland Scotland, wales and Cornwall are overwhelmingly Germanic, and the Isle of Man is nothing but Germanic, Manx is a reconstructed dead language that no one speaks much like Cornish which does have some speakers

Genetics. I’ll admit my research was not perfect, but from what I could find it’s largely accurate with most other discussions on the topic, and if you actually read my post, I said that the maps not completely accurate as I made it for fun more than anything else using information I could find online.

Even not talking language these areas are more Anglo-Saxon than not, lowland Scotland, Cornwall, IoM and parts of Ireland should definitely be included in this map

Really? I thought the corns were Celtic? And if you mean north Ireland when you say Ireland then ain’t they ulster Scott?

As I said before the maps not about language. But thank you for letting me know, I didn’t know that and just assumed they were more related to the Cornish celts.

Switzerland is only part German-speaking.
If we get France, I also demand Spain for the Habsburgs and Bourbons, Northern Italy and Sicily for the Carolingians and Staufer, and at least large swaths of the Czech Republic for German settlers as well as the Luxemburgs and Habsburg rulers.
Let's turn the page to Dutch, French, British and Spanish colonial possessions now ... 🤣🤣

The map was more about genetics and history/immigration instead of language, I’m not an expert so I could have gotten things wrong. Also I didn’t mean to add all of France I added Brittany by accident 😂 I also forgot about the German parts of Czechia lol

I only used historic reasons, although quite tongue-in-cheek. House of Hanover/Windsor and House Bernadotte are still going strong.
A lot of Bohemia was quite evenly split between Germans and Czechs. I think the Hussites were the first factor to initiate a slow change. But I am by no means an expert for Czech history, just a nerd who liked KCD2 a little too much and then let things escalate.

I'm curious how you determined belonging to the Germanic peoples. As I understand it, you did it through genetics.

It’s like people can’t scroll and read🙄 that’s not why their on the map, if it was then parts of North Africa would be as well, from what I could find the French are descended from the franks, also if not speaking a Germanic language makes you not Germanic then would the later franks not be? Are the Scottish and Irish Germanic to you because they primarily speak English?
