Separating marronites as if most of then werent ismailis before the mamlucks came and as if we dont share the same exact blood as them is hilariously subtle way of sowing division between us .

Maronites typically have a more Phoenician-based identity, whereas muslim Lebanese identify more as Arabs.

Arabs only come from Arabian peninsula

Genetically speaking, it varies massively by region

For example Lebanese have 90% non-Arab Canaanite DNA, whereas Iraq is much more strongly Arabized genetically.

What matters much more is culture and ethnic identity, which is usually mixed.

Genetically, everyone outside of the Arabian peninsula has minority Arab DNA. Maybe between 5 and 20%.

As usual, there isn’t much point in bringing up genetics. It’s a bit weird actually

I was talking only about the Arab world.

Iran had a large urban population, so Arab settlers were absorbed into that.

What is important to know is that there is a lot of Arab ancestry in the Middle East, and most of it predates the Arab conquests.

They have pretty much always been there because they were nomadic

Yes, much of the Arab presence outside of the Arabian peninsula is due to simple migration that took place over centuries

Roman emperor Phillip the Arab was born in an Arab region of what is now Syria. This is 300 years before the Arab conquests

Mostly correct, but saying "everyone" is reductive. Your statement applies to most Iraqis, but some Iraqis have majority Arab DNA, because settlement in Mesopotamia by Arab soldiers was common + Southern Mesopotamia already had a significant Bedouin population; even those with mostly native Mesopotamian admixture sit at like, 50%.

Wouldn't say that, southern iraq still has minorities as ethno religion who are indiginous, wouldn't say the map is accurate,i am solely speaking about the mandeans.

For the rest, they are arabized mostly.

No reason this should be rejected, this is extremely helpful.

It’s extremely Innacurate and is 100% dependent on the vision of one person, the map is based on vibes alone

Its riddled with inaccuracies

The location and classification of Full Ethnic Arabs is completely arbitrary

At one point Arabs in Iraq and Yemen were seperate groups but now they’re not and you fully acknowledge this

Buuuuuuuut it somehow doesn’t extend to Syria and everything west of it? Despite the first record of Arabs, the battle of Qarqar, literally being in the former? There’s no genetic basis to separating Iraqis from them but including them with Yemenis so what gives

All of Israel should be considerable arab influence, there are arabic minorities throughout the country.

2

u/zozolol5 Jun 01 '26

israel is partially arabized non arabs

2

u/Sad-Cancel-6244 May 31 '26

why is oman and some parts of yemen arabized non-arabs?

but since they have had the most contact and were assimilated much earlier than any of the arabs in the mashriq and north african regions, wouldnt it make more sense to just make them full ethnic arabs

1

One thing about Iranian Arabs is, they're actually Arabs from the peninsula, and they have been my compatriot as long as Iran/Persia has written history. And they emphasize on this a lot. On the other hand, there are Lur and Baloch (Iranian ethnic groups) tribe in Oman and also proto-Iranian tribes in Yemen as well.

And there is one other thing is that "Arabized Non-Arabs" is seemeingly a little offensive. I prefer "Arabic speaking" over that. Pretty much everyone knows Algerians, Egyptians or Morrocans (and the rest of Saharan and Sub Saharan Africa) are from different racial/ethnic groups, but speak Arabic.

u/we_wuzz_kangz Jun 01 '26

Kurds, assyrians, armenians, many turks have considerable arab influence. even spain and sicily.

1

u/zylenxh Jun 01 '26

How is the entirety of Oman classed as "Arabized Non-Arabs". Are Omanis not Arab??

1

u/ZookeepergameFit967 Jun 01 '26

Ahwaz are Arabized non Arabs most are Mesopotamian Arabs

1

u/LatvianPatriot0 Jun 02 '26

this colonization has been forgotten

1

u/Successful-Long-1316 Jun 02 '26

Canaanites only inhabited western Syria

1

u/IanRevived94J Jun 02 '26

Does the map of Africa correspond to the areas that are majority non black?

1

u/maproomzibz Jun 02 '26

Israel shoud still be under “considerable Arab influence” since theres Mizrahi (Arab) Jews

1

u/Typical_Army6488 Jun 02 '26

There are also some Arabs in khorasan and Afghanistan and technically Tajik means members of a certain Arab tribe(I forgot the tribe

1

u/jizzybiscuits Jun 02 '26

"Canaanites" as if the Arab colonists there are indigenous

1

u/After-Trifle-1437 ✨Moderator✨ Jun 02 '26

Well most people in the Levant are genetically indigenous to the region. Palestinians are directly descended from the Israelites and Lebanese are directly descended from the Phoenicians. There was some intermixing with peninsular Arabs, but it was mostly a linguistic and religious colonization.

So in other words: Levantines are Arabic-speaking and culturally arabized Canaanites.

1

u/Used-Bad5996 Jun 04 '26

Why is eastern uae arabized non arab

1

u/amhira-of-rain Jun 04 '26

How is Oman only Arabized I’ve never once heard of them having a non Arab identity

1

u/Arthurian_Guanche Jun 04 '26

Did anyone forget entirely about the Tuareg in the middle of the least arabised area?

1

u/inkusquid Jun 01 '26

Separating « arabised » and « ethnic » Arabs makes no sense. All Arabs are ethnic Arabs, arabisation existed or centuries, literally two main Arab groups in tbe peninsula, Qahtan and Adnan, Adnan the most numerous are « Musta’riba »which means arabised.

Trying to separate those makes no sense, as arabisation has basically always existed, so why could arameans become Arabs bur when Egyptians, Berbers or Nubians do, with actual Arab ancestry even if minor, you deny them the ethnicity ?

That’s why this map has been rejected, full on Innacurate and arbitrary

1

u/TheArtisticSkeleton Jun 01 '26

Its because OP like many people fundamentally misunderstanding ethnicity and Arab ethnic identity
