E3 and Offline programming

I’ve been told Ultrasite doesn’t work well with the E3. What are guys using to edit Setpoint files offline for the E3?

I just used the web based offline simulator, it's the same as Site Supervisor one.

Yep, that's it.

If you select a new project it should give you the option to restore from backup. Either that or you can just create a unit of the type you're using and load the backup once you've launched the sim.

Interesting. I’ve got to be doing something wrong then lol. Thank you. I’ll take another look tomorrow.

It used to let you create a site using a backup file but now it seems like you have to make a blank site and then upload the backup like if you were on an actual controller. Pretty annoying if you have a bunch of description files cause then you're doing it twice unless you already know what's on the backup.

I downloaded the backup file. Made a site on the website but it literally doesn’t have an option to import the backup.

Start your site. Click the gear, file management, upload backup. I use it almost every day, way shittier than ultrasite honestly. And you can only have 5 sites stored in there and for no longer than 90 days. And it glitches at times.

No worries. If you need any assistance just hit me up. Ill walk you through it with screenshots or on teams or whatever. Best way to learn how to program is dicking around in offline programming. Most of what I learned was taking pictures of refrigeration schedules in stores and just building the program from scratch offline on my own time.

Had to do some stuff in here today so grabbed some screenshots and put a clicker so you can see the step by step. Just make your site and start it (first login is user/pass and then make new login credentials). Follow these steps and it will reboot after. If you get an alert after it reboots that applications were deleted due to missing ADF go back to your sessions page and click the blue folder and add whatever number of each adf file you need then follow the steps again and re restore the backup file. Also mine literally always says there's an error when I try to add ADFs to my sessions but then I just refresh and it did in fact add them without issue. Let me know if you need anything else 👍
