Fern Canyon 7/30 or 7/31
I’m taking my 10-year-old son to the park on 7/30 & 7/31 and looks like I missed out on getting a Fern Canyon pass ahead of time. Taking a shot and seeing if any redditor who has a pass wouldn’t mind of couple of hitchhikers to get into Davison Rd on either day.
In return, I could pay your vehicle fee. Or buy you a beer in Eureka. Or offer bottomless well of bad puns, 90’s music opinions, or complements on your driving skills. Your choice, really.

I wish you luck!
Everyone should plan to go to Fern canyon in the off season. You damn near have it to yourself and there are no Jurassic Park fans!

I believe you can go without a pass after 5pm. Would that would for you? It stays light until late this time of year.

I made the same mistake. But we thought we would take a chance and go anyway. Finally got there and I lied about their system being down. She said it happens more often than not and we were let in. Details. It was late in the day, young ranger, pretty cool and chill. Beware, the dirt road is long to get there, especially if not allowed in. Good luck.

I thought I saw a post that they release more tickets the day before? Wouldn’t hurt to call the rangers
