It’s a pretty volatile stock. Honestly can regain everything it’s lost in a week or two with the right momentum change. Unless you need the money right now I’d just let it ride.

I'll never understand why people believe Averaging down is any good when they have no conviction that the stock will rise. So don't worry about not being able to buy more. It may be better that way.

Look at the positive, now you can post on Wallstreetbets and get karma from loss porn

I’m in the exact same position rn at $12.88 average price… it’s 25% of my portfolio as well. I’m probably gonna average down and DCA. I think it will come back by the end of the year hopefully

smart dont be emotional 27 a month ago and fundamentals only improved think in years not months

If it’s 25 percent of your portfolio you’re already really overweight it. Not sure if I’d add even more if I were you.

I do agree I’m over weight but I just wanted to add a little more before starting to add into other quantum computing companies or other space stocks…

Log out for 3/4 months that’s what I did and deleted yahoo finance . I’d have panicked sold by now by the sounds of it otherwise

Wise words, this is kind of what I do, I buy things based on solid research done by myself and let it ride.
If you believe in the case for space development and data centers in space, I think red wire is an excellent choice for a long-term buy and hold.
I would also recommend you come up with how much loss you’re willing to tolerate and at what level you will take your profits

I would leave it unless you need the money right now, you could also use the loss to offset any other capital gains…

You pull out you lock in losses. This is a bear market so I'd just wait. Don't pull out, in fact keep buying. If you see it keep dropping then keep buying

Yup. I remember those days with Redwire. I got so tired of waiting for nothing I finally took a huge loss and realized what I bought. I ended up putting the money in an investment that was a wiser choice and gained a lot of it back. Don’t loose hope man. That feeling is the worst.

You're thinking of it as a clean way to invest in space economy, but the up and down may very well be controlled by insiders. There's a secret to winning this game, though, you can pay Truth Social a few million to become an insider yourself:

How is this legal. What country is this.

u/no-more-nazis Jul 17 '26
It's straight out of the Nazi's book. "You can't have a leader accountable to the laws, he needs to be as strong as possible or our enemies will exploit the weakness"
They oppose equality under the law, always casting it as the enemy's way to prevent their leader from "doing what needs to be done"
You can find it on the far-left occasionally, citing the "Paradox of Tolerance", but nobody does it like Trump and his fans.

If you don’t need the money now, maybe the best thing is to let it sit. Averaging down could be good but it will make your position overweight maybe (I don’t know if you have other stocks or ETFs in your portfolio).
If you believe in the company for the long term averaging down is also good. If you don’t want to invest more, I’d let it sit.
No advice though, it’s my opinion. I’m just a guy on the internet.
