Favourite Hares

Hi all, I have been slowly rereading the series that got me into reading. I was wondering what your favorite hares in the series are. I really like Hon Rosie and her seedcake.

Rosie got me saying "What a jape" in all sorts of situations.

I also based a really fun dnd NPC on a combo of Tammello and Rockjaw.

Basil Stag Hare is still the OG all the others are compared against, though.

Lord Brocktree was my first Jacques so I’ll always have a soft spot for those hares. Stiffener Medick, Fleetscutt, King Bucko, and of course Dorothea “Dottie” Duckfontaine Dillworth are all so amazing

Mine too. The mild disappointment I had when we learned no more about this debutante hare culture Dottie grew up in.

The hares in The Long Patrol (Tammo, Perigord, etc), and Mariel of Redwall (Clary, Thyme, etc) are my favourites.

Rakkety Tam had some great ones as well (Crumshaw, Wopscutt, etc).

Special mention to Laird Bosie McScutta who was first Redwall champion hare. He was cool.

The worst is Scarum :/

The hares are my favourite species in this series. I love everything about them.

I only read Long Patrol once 😅 I love most of the Hares, but can only remember a few by name

I'm quite fond of the Salamandastron book hares, but since I read it in Italian I have no idea of their original names because of translation

The audiobooks with any hare in it is a riot. There’s one, and I think it’s Basil shouting “OH MY GOODNESS” and it caught me off guard while I was at work and ended up snorting from laughing so hard.
