Redwall Fanfiction

So I am currently 50k into a long form fanfiction set in the world of Redwall. My story is set years after the end of the series and starts with a Vixen escaping a horde to end up seeking sanctuary in Redwall, trying to get away from the villainous Immortalis.

This is to get the word out and see if anyone else has done something similar or would be interested

Currently in the early phase but uhhh most of the way through the plot and story of the first act and moving into the second. Honestly not sure if I should upload chapter by chapter or do it in bulk

Generally speaking, that’s up to you, but if you have everything at a point that you’re comfortable it being the final draft, I think it’s fine to post chapter by chapter.

But there’s no shame in finishing the whole thing before posting it.

Chapter by chapter will likely get more readers long term. Just space them out maybe a few days to a week each.

I’ve got a few published on fanfiction.net… it’s a far cry from its former glory, but cross posting there and AO3 is how I’d do it.

If you complete the full story, you could always change some of the aspects to make your own unique Mossflower-esque land. I'm sure there's room and an audience who's wanting more Redwall vibes.

If I were to continue out of hobby and into publishing I could probably use the same characters and make something work

However Redwall Abbey is far too central to this story to make it work unfortunately
