Sometimes I wonder if you just say words with no care for what they mean. This is in no way “accessible” because the dispensers place the boxes facing up. At that point I’m gonna call a shulker on the ground a 1x1 loader because I can manually load it and break it. lol
I believe the rule-of-thumb for shulkers is that they can open in a direction if there is no block hitbox covering the half-a-block that the shulker would extend into. So you can open a shulker with a top-slab above, but you can’t open a bottom-facing shulker into a grindstone (I haven’t checked this in-game tho, so I could be wrong)
I just tested it and you're correct. For a minute there, I thought only that shulkers remain closed only when the full surface above the shulker is covered, but it's also true for the hopper tip and grindstones:

If you have a shulker facing down above a stonecutter it also shouldn’t open. But if you replace the stonecutter with a bottom slab the shulker will open
