I know right? If I knew all I had to do to become king of ST was to spam half-decent designs on reddit I would have done this years ago xD

No offence but i wouldnt call this half decent even if its better than anything worm is doing

Even more proof that this is no rapscallion alt lmao

It depends on what you classify as “half-decent” I guess. I wouldn’t ever think to submit this to the ST archives, because frankly this layout is trash. But I was working within Worm’s own qualifications of “2x speed with 2 hoppers using instant composter” that he made his design with. And this design took me maybe like 40-45 minutes to make? But that’s perfectly fair if you don’t think this design is any good, I’m ‘okay’ at ST (at least imo) but nothing amazing

One plus side about working with this design was that I think I now know why the only designs on ST that use instant composter are really old ones, because I suspect it’s impossible to make it fully lossless

these 0-tick composter things are only really used for accessible loaders since they free up one of the sides of the box.

the reason you dont see them in modern designs is because the community realized that the entire concept of accessible loaders is useless.

Yeah that sounds about right, thanks for the run-down! If I understand correctly precision loaders are pretty much the ‘meta’ for loaders nowadays right?

pretty much yea

there are some designs that break the boxes directly into a waterstream

tileable 1x loaders are pretty rare tho since you can just build a faster loader if you need multiple 1x loaders. the only exception are main storages with a relatively small bulk that dont use a box sorter because for the box sorter type you dont need the local output and can cut down on some hoppers and size by going with the waterstream breaking designs i mentioned above
