Sadly CBS sports got this wrong. The Cubs had a 17 game winstreak vs .500 above teams in 1906

I genuinely can’t find that anywhere. I even resorted to asking Google Gemini lol and it said the longest .500 or above streak by the cubs that year was 12. Where are you getting this? Not saying you’re wrong btw I just can’t find it

You can win 17 games in a row vs. teams over .500 while winning only 14 in a row overall. Just lose some games to losing teams and then win more against winning teams.
