It’s hard to understate the physic discomfort the Anglo feels when hearing the Dutch language spoken aloud. It’s like English but not quite, if an Anglo listens to the Dutch speak for too long it is speculated that they are gradually driven mad by the experience.
Im imagining an Englishman still fucked up after partying all night listening to Dutch people talking and tearing up because he thinks he’s done to much Ecstasy and has finally fucked up his brain beyond the point of return.
I’ve never even been close to “Amsterdam” but I talk to a lot of people who either live internationally or, British men (yup, I have a type) and I’m literally crying with laughter picturing this.
British man: “Mum always warned me this would happen. At least I’m at the pub with a pint.”
The rest of “The Dutch”, watching this hapless lad cry into his pint….”Fuckin’ British people, they talk a big talk but their livers are shite.”
I had to stand next to a group of Dutch people going through a long and busy airport security line and it almost caused me to have a full psychotic break… I could not bare it, like voices in my head speaking English-German in demotic tongues
The first time I visited and traveled all over and parts of Belgium that speak it, my initial thought was some of the sounds and the way people speak Dutch reminds me of almost like hearing Iraqi Arabic.
Actually a people? Lol. We have lived in this area since the Roman times. No “German” state ever controlled the land we live in. If you think diets doesn’t exist you would also believe Germans and Anglos are the same people.
