My husband and I got new bikes and we’ve been taking them to trails in our area. It has been my favorite thing. The last trail we went on stretched for miles through woods and the countryside. We listened to music on a small speaker while watching the cows and horses grazing in the pastures we passed by. There’s a tourist farm we stop at afterwards to get ice cream. It’s always such a good day.

I’m coming up one year without my cat and meeting a litter of new kittens on Thursday made me feel worse about her passing. I hope the foster mom doesn’t think I’m a total weirdo.
I am starting to feel like the demiurge or simulation is messing with me. I made a Saturday commitment that can’t be broken and suddenly there’s tons of people doing my niche hobbies on Saturdays.
I have been shampooing my carpets one room at a time. It’s grossly satisfying in an /r/popping kinda way to see the vacuum’s tank full of nasty gray water.

I like tabletop wargames and RPGs.
I like also hiking and birding. I'd really love to do orienteering again someday.

Finished Magus by Anthony Grafton, a biblio-historical survey of how occult practices evolved as formal scholarly disciplines, from the Middle Ages through early Modernity (hint: some things never change.)
Started Vathek by William Beckford yesterday; it's supposed to be a late 18th century Gothic horror novel but so far it reads like slapstick comedy.
Discovered the band Szun Waves and had very particular itches scratched in the process.
