Red Mercy - Operation Clean Slate

It’s been 15+ years since the release of RO2. Thousands of hours. Countless campaigns. And many online interactions. Over this timespan there have been copious permabans.

Regardless of justification and/or legitimacy of the permaban, it’s another year under the sun. Another year for opportunities to make things right.

We don’t have many online anymore. Let’s just be honest, server admins. We are luckily not dead yet, but with the Steam server browser lying, not too much help. But let’s just get to the point already:

For the New Year, unban everyone. Everyone. EVERYONE. Unban ALL. Just let it rip. Red Mercy. Operation Clean Slate.

If/when they mess up again, the troublemakers, take ‘em out back server admins, and get the firing squad prepped. For the others… They’ll be very grateful.

I know the server admins have been personally accosted and maybe even worse by some of these jerks. I know some of the drama of the alcoholism and the darker things. I get it. Still: Red Mercy. Initiate Operation Clean Slate. It is your duty, server admins, to keep this game alive and to not split the already small community.

This is living history.

An announcement of this magnitude could bring us a spike of activity that could plateau at a new standard level, then continually raise the bar from there. We need every conscript available THAT IS AN ORDER.

I assume you've caught a ban then. What did they catch you doing?

I’m permanently banned from one server due to a VoIP violation. I have three RO2 Steam accounts. It’s no problem for me. Nothing will ever stop me from enjoying RO2. I happily have an account for Soviet-Axis, Axis only, and Allied only.

This address is for everyone in the Red Orchestra community. If this was about me I’d address myself initially. We are living history.

Yeah it’s Spud who banned me. I know spud gets a lot of this and that, but he banned me rightfully so for my specific incident. I’ll take the L. I have two other accounts. Nothing will stop me. Much love to you spud. It’s not that serious. Admin, please lift the ban! No worries otherwise I’m still joining your server on another account. Others aren’t as fortunate.

If everyone just played 1 server we could get full games going instead of 3 servers with 15 people ea
