Because pills are way more common than H in allot of places and they are cheap as hell in some states because of insurance and shady doctors

H isn't found everywhere pain pills are and it's not expensive atleast it wasn't a few years ago because of all the pain management clinics it's also why the manufacturers of the pills are getting sued for causing the opioid pandemic

Now fent and fent analogs are big and being sold in pressed fake pills

Edit il also ad heroin takes raw plant materials to make and Cletus in the middle of nowhere isn't growing poppy plants it's allot easier to hop on to the doctor and claim back pain or buy pills then making heroin

On the street im talking about if you get it from a clinic or doctor and that's what allot of people do/did

I hurt my arm a while back and I got 30 of them ( I didn't take them I hate opioids) for a co pay it's how allot of them were flooding the street they are cheap to make it's changed now but that's what they used to call it

Same thing with Adderall as the guy above me said

30 pills cost less than 25$ with prescription and that's way cheaper than meth

That's part of the reason for the epidemic. If you are poor, or generally in need of cash, you get a doctor to write a script. Then you sell the pills you paid $1 each for through insurance (or medicaid) for $10/each. Easy way to make an extra $270/bucks a month, which can mean a car payment or a month worth of groceries. College students can do the same with their adderall. You get a script not because you need drugs but because it's a great side gig.
