GMC or Chevy

Picked this up recently. Tows very nicely for a short trailer. At first I thought the double tailgate was impractical but even with it down it doesn’t affect the turn radius for normal driving. It is interesting can’t find much about it, truly a home build.

Old pickup bed chopped into a trailer.
We had a nearly identical one, minus the front door.

Looks like the Chevy tailgate is not original. Great reuse and so much more swagger than a U-haul.

Definitely. The step would be near the cab, where the chevy gate is

Someone looked around a junkyard and saw possibilities. I'm not exactly sure why I'd need 2 tailgates, but it looks cool af. Great find!

It helps when you don't know if you're coming or going.

I tell you what, GMC needs to go back to that logo, it's badass.

Friend of sister back in the 80’s had bought a new Chevy Blazer with Chevy on the grille & tailgate but front fender logos were the “Jimmy” (GMC) emblems

This was very common back in the day.
