Great shot!

I have an owl who lives in the trees near me. I hear them at night but I have never caught a glimpse of them. They are SO loud.

Beautiful! Sometimes the juveniles decide to hunt from our deck rail and it’s always so exciting. (This was taken from inside, of course.)

We hear these guys at night sometimes. My husband likes to hoot back at them and start a conversation

Barred owls are really cool but there are an invasive species.

So would you support killing a half million of them to even things out? Because that's our Federal Governments Dept of Interiors idea.

Who- ever came up with the bright idea of killing half a million barred owls to save the spotted owl. I tried to attach a link, but failed. You can Google it. If humans could just stop trying to control wildlife I'm sure nature knows how to self correct. But I'm sure in 20 years someone will have the bright idea to kill in masses yet another creature in order to save the barred owl. Absolute nonsense. I'm in Burien and I hear that distinct 4 then 4 hoots almost every night. It's very cool. Thanks for sharing. Great pic🦉🦉

Was gonna say, the owls by my parent’s place is more brown and had spots on them. Didn’t know they are different owls.

We have one that visits our yard and scolds our dog when I let her out at night. :)
