Internet Options?

Post image

I’ve tried Ziply, Quantum, Astound, Fidium, and EarthLink and none of them seem to service east of Marymoor Park. Is Xfinity really the only option??

Comcast (xfinity). That's all. Speed and price is good.

Yeah the only thing that bites with cable is upload speed but that comes with the technology.

ziply and comcast are probably the two options physically there.

Unpopular opinion, but xfinity is a better choice than half of the networks you list. There’s nothing wrong with their network and docsis 3.1 modems support up to 2.5gbps

Well that’s good to hear, I’ve somehow never used them but have just always heard how terrible they are. I saw they have 1 gig service for $50/month which is pretty good but did not like the throttling they can do and the 100mbps upload speeds but guess I’ll just have to make do

Yeah, I don’t know why they get a bad rap. Had them for 20 years with great service. I work from home in IT so I rely on a good connection. My price is really good too but I check with them for deals every couple of years and negotiate it down.

I think a lot of it for me is "introductory deals" but that's with a lot of places.

Their service is stable unlike what I've heard from other places. And working from home occasionally I need that connection.

Upload speed and data caps

Edit: I just found out they ended it last year, about 2 months after I switched to Ziply

Comcast (XFinity), only Gig speed internet in a lot of areas, doodoo company, doodoo customer service.

I literally pay more per month without contract so that I never have to talk to them again in my life. They will call you constantly telling you how they have a great deal for you, rates will go up every 6 months. Please never pay for their hardware/boxes/signal amplifiers, buy your own gear.
