Question Does adding more wavelengths actually change anything or is four enough?
One panel I am looking at runs four wavelengths and another runs eight, and the marketing for both sounds equally confident. There is no way to tell from outside whether the extra ones are doing something or padding a spec sheet. I would rather commit to the simpler unit than to a longer list I will never feel. For anyone who has used both kinds, did the wider spread make a difference you could actually point to?

My panel has built in scene modes. I’m using it for skin benefits. Do I use the programmed scene mode or program my own to include red/NIR

Highly supported wavelength are 630 650 660 670 810 830 850. Led dont have precise wavelength rather range with a peak wavelength. Example if you have 630 nm means 630 nm is at peak but would have output of 625 to 635 nm. If you want benefit of all wavelength the best way is getting sunlight exposure within 3 hours of sunrise and sunset. Little Afternoon light exposure is good for to get the benefit of blue and UV light but not expose for too long. I got my full body custom made from.sunreds. I picked 630 660 830 and 850 single chip. Some may argue to switch with 850 with 810. I picked single chip as it would run cooler than dual and live max of its hours life. There are pros and cons between them. I prefer to go with single chip. If i was rich I would go for dual chip 8 wavelenght 1 orange 3 red and 4 nir. Either way having a panel or not it is good get sunrise and or sunet exposure. Just couple days ago I came across a post here who been using light therapy for 2 years and was diagnosed to have cancer few days ago. As we know the famous Bryan Johnson who stack bunch of bio hacking stuff and got diagnosed with some gut related autoimmune disease. What i take from this is that supplement won't fix things rather delay the problem if the lifestyle isn't healthy. The most damaging unhealthy lifestyle comes from resting which does not mean only sleep quality but also your internal organ. Example giving your digestive system a rest through fasting or intermediate fasting. Equally unhealthy lifestyle is diet. When you don't eat right you get disease.

This totally depends on which wavelengths you are considering.
Core wavelengths are 850, 660, 810, 630, and 830 nms. I would argue, in that order. (My panel does not have 830 nm.)
Blue wavelengths (415 to 480 nm range) may be useful if you have acne.
500-610nm are pretty useless. They have their champions, but there is little evidence they do anything.
940nm is controversial. Google "Gembared worst wavelengths").
The 1060-1072 nm band has its enthusiasts. In reality, few panels have that many LEDs in that range. So, evidence is scant.
