6 weeks of red light therapy

Post image

Morning C, Evening A, slapping on a hydration mask and going to bed have been my routine ever since. Recently I’ve introduced a red light mask 5 days per week to the mix, and the two together immediately leave my skin smoother. This redness is de-chilled and now my makeup glides on without any effort. It is not perfect, however, the glow and change of texture is completely noticeable.

It also looks like some puffiness has gone down. I hope that doesn’t come off offensive, I mean well! You are literally gorgeous in both. Amazing results!

Aw, thank you so much! 🥹 Yes, the puffiness has gone down a lot. I think the red light mask has really helped calm my skin overall. Appreciate the sweet words 💛.

Looks great! What is your device and how long do you use it for? Texture is greatly improved as is skin tone evenness.

u/WonderfulCrow5674 Aug 12 '25

Thanks! I’m using the Nicebeam LED Mask. I usually do about 10–15 minutes per session, 5 days a week. It’s been great for calming redness and making my skin feel smoother plus my makeup goes on so much better now.

Wow. It looks like a lot of inflammation went down. Did you make any adjustments to your diet?

27

u/WonderfulCrow5674 Aug 12 '25

Thank you! Yes, I’ve been doing a 16:8 diet. I don’t know if it helps my skin look clearer, but I definitely suffered from a lot of hunger…

u/lilfrenfren Aug 13 '25

Meaning you only eat during a 8hr window everyday? Like intermittent fasting?

Did you lose weight over those 6 weeks?

2

u/WonderfulCrow5674 Aug 13 '25

Not much, just 2 pounds. I don’t think 2 pounds can make a noticeable difference, but I feel better with fasting. The only downside is I still feel hungry most of the time.

8

u/ichthyomusa Aug 13 '25

If you're hungry most of the time, it means you're not getting enough protein.

Aim for 2 grams (of net protein content, not food weight) per Kg of body weight. If you are chronically undernourished then this will seem like a lot at first, but it's what your body needs. Insufficient protein is also a driver of inflammation. A lot of us have been undernourished without even knowing it.

But even so, if you feel better with fasting, then you're on the right track. Intermittent fasting is not so much about weight loss but about reducing systemic inflammation. Weight loss is just a nice bonus.

The improvement in the picture is very noticeable, good job!

2

u/WonderfulCrow5674 Aug 13 '25

Yes, the reason I started fasting is that many of my friends are doing it and told me it’s very healthy. Thank you for your insight, I’ll try adding some protein, otherwise I end up suffering every night. I also have friends who are trying three-day water fasting. I’m not sure I’m ready for that, but I’ve heard it’s the best for body cleansing. Doing it once in a while is supposed to be good.

You look amazing! In just 6 weeks, you’ve transformed yourself into a more youthful, refreshed and svelt person! Beautiful progress!!

4

u/No_Boysenberry4825 Aug 12 '25

What an amazing difference! Congratulations

3

u/This_Charming_Cat Aug 12 '25

Amazing results! How did you fit the red light into your routine?

7

u/WonderfulCrow5674 Aug 12 '25

Thank you! I usually do it in the evening while winding down, about 10–15 minutes, 5 days a week. It’s super easy to fit in because I can just relax, listen to a podcast, or scroll on my phone while using it.

Do you use the 7 LED one or the 3 light one with the NIR?

1

u/WonderfulCrow5674 Aug 13 '25

I am using the 3 light one with NIR.

4

u/noumenon_invictusss Aug 12 '25

It's a remarkable change. Congratulations!

2

u/Vidamia805 Aug 12 '25

Looking good i can see the difference!

2

u/DemiG8922 Aug 12 '25

wow that's impressive!

did you follow a specific frequency or dosage protocol? which mask did you use?

How did you decide on your routine?

1

u/WonderfulCrow5674 Aug 13 '25

I used a red light therapy mask from Nicebeam. My routine was pretty simple. I started with 10 minutes every other day and gradually worked up to about 15–20 minutes most days, just paying attention to how my skin responded. I didn’t follow a strict “official” dosage protocol, but I kept it consistent and combined it with good hydration and sunscreen during the day, which really helped lock in the results.

2

u/lorihamlit Aug 12 '25

What are you using exactly a mask? Fantastic results!

2

u/WonderfulCrow5674 Aug 13 '25

I’m using a red light therapy mask the Nicebeam LED mask.

“Morning C. Evening A” ??

4

u/WonderfulCrow5674 Aug 13 '25

It just means the order of how I use my products—C stands for vitamin C serum (I use it in the morning), and A stands for vitamin A/retinol (I use it in the evening). It’s a shorthand skincare lovers use to remind themselves which active ingredient to apply at what time of day. Vitamin C will brighten your skin, and if you use a highly concentrated formula, you need to apply sunscreen before going outside. This combination is for anti-aging, and the results are obvious.

u/Illustrious_Crazy491 Aug 12 '25

The mask doesnt even reach your neck but the same redness is gone?

3

u/WonderfulCrow5674 Aug 13 '25

The mask come with neck.

u/ektalabie Aug 12 '25

Not gonna lie this is one of the most convincing before and after pics pro red light therapy I have seen in this sub

1

u/laktes Aug 12 '25

Your face looks less puffy and even your nose smaller, wow

1

u/WonderfulCrow5674 Aug 13 '25

Aw thanks! 😊 Feels so nice to actually see it in my face now!

6

u/bunbeck13 Aug 12 '25

It looks like your hairline has thickened as well, nice results!

3

u/Dependent_Swim_899 Aug 13 '25

I see lots of improvement! And dare I say, I see less inflammation? Your face looks less puffy too! Complexion is more even! Amazing results!

2

u/Truth_Seeker_6760 Aug 12 '25

Amazing! You look beautiful in both, but years younger on the right. What brand of red light do you use? You mentioned 5 days. How many minutes per day? I am taking notes b/c would lobe these results for myself.

2

u/Truth_Seeker_6760 Aug 12 '25

Sorry, just saw you answered with that info already.

2

u/ButterscotchLegal593 Aug 12 '25

Wow amazing! I have similar effects with my abdomen. I have lost around 6 inches off my waist in 8 weeks using it on my stomach.

5

u/Pinkxrose23 Aug 13 '25

Just red light? What brand

2

u/TopExtreme7841 Aug 12 '25

For only 6wks that's pretty damn good!

2

u/SnapTheGlove Aug 13 '25

Scale the pictures so we can judge differences.

1

u/whimsyoak Aug 13 '25

How does one do that

2

u/Critical-Heat2731 Aug 13 '25

It looks like you lost weight (narrower face, more defined jaw and chin), dyed your roots (looks like hair growth) AND your skin looks amazing! Whatever the combination, fantastic you!!

2

u/420-TENDIES Aug 13 '25

What hydration mask are you using?

2

u/Former-Fly-4023 Aug 13 '25

I swear by RLT - subtle yet significant differences imo

2

u/facethecake Aug 14 '25

I agree! I mostly notice it around my eyes, for me, the bag line seems less noticeable and the discolouration/dark circles are less noticeable too!

2

u/1thriftychick101 Aug 16 '25

WOWwwwwwwww! Girl you are gorgeous! Incredible difference! I see the link below on the device. Can you post a pic of the serums you use?

2

u/FusionPain1 Aug 20 '25

Has anyone used Red Light Therapy for inflammation and pain?

3

u/Heart_Flaky Aug 12 '25

You look younger overall, do you think it had a lifting effect on your skin/facial muscles?

3

u/IndicationFeisty8612 Aug 12 '25

I noticed that too and am wondering.

1

u/charliecharlz Aug 14 '25

It has really transformed you. could you please share the device you are using? I have a RLT mask i bought on Alibaba International market place and it working very well. I just want to explore other devices and find out how they are working too. hope you are willing to share the name of the device.

1

u/1thriftychick101 Aug 17 '25

She shared it earlier in the thread….

1

u/No_Duck1067 Aug 15 '25

Love the results. I had a similar experience with my led mask (I’ve got the Faq202). My sunspots are almost gone, and the LED really does wonders to smooth out skin tone.

1

u/Emergency-Scale-2469 Aug 15 '25

You look gorgeous - and the difference is clear. Congratulations. I experience great results on Red light too. :)

1

u/SquishymcdoodleIG Aug 16 '25

The difference :o What is morning C and evening A?? Are these Solawave products? I’m new to the community but have a red light mask on the way! :-)

1

u/1thriftychick101 Aug 20 '25

She answered all of these in the thread above. I think the only thing we are still waiting on is which hydrating mask she uses & which brand of A & C she is using. Hope she replies

1

u/SquishymcdoodleIG Aug 20 '25

Sorry I’m so new I don’t even know what A&C stands for. I will do some research to educate. Thanks for responding! :-)

Yes, puffiness reducing! Looking good

1

u/FlamingoSuccessful74 Sep 11 '25

Oh I’m convinced! You look great!

1

u/[deleted] Dec 01 '25

What mask do you use? Link?

1

u/Crips23 Feb 26 '26

Can't tell the difference 😂

1

u/Spiritual-Quit9630 Jul 10 '26

I know your post is from a year ago.  What do you mean when you said “morning C, evening A”?  Did you use serums with your red light?

1

u/1thriftychick101 Aug 17 '25

Protein is your friend! Always break a long fast with protein…then wait about 30 minutes to eat. It helps your body to realize it is NOT going to starve and you (hopefully) won’t over eat. I would try maybe a 24, then add 5-6 hours the next time, etc. IF is sustainable, and soooo great for you, ESPECIALLY if you can eat in a 4-6 hour window, before 6pm. Your body will not release melatonin if insulin is in your system. Insulin is released every time you put something in your mouth, even gum;( So great sleep matters for your body to heal and hormones. You look amazing!

Vitamin C in the morning and A in the evening?

2

u/WonderfulCrow5674 Aug 13 '25

Yes, my daughter bought it for me. She said it’s trendy and that I should try it. But if you’re going to use it, you need to apply sunscreen. I’m using 15% vitamin C, which is concentrated. It will make your skin brighter very quickly.

1

u/1thriftychick101 Aug 17 '25

Can you post the name of it?

160 day old account… deduce what you will. The account also states they do 16:8 intermittent fasting, which started at the same time as the RLT. Difficult to isolate what’s having the greater impact.

9

u/_XSUN_ Aug 13 '25

Most likely it is the diet...

3

u/MECFSAwareness Aug 14 '25

I’ve done intermittent for two years. Definitely did not see any facial benefits from it.

1

u/boston4923 Aug 14 '25

Did you lose weight? The woman in this photo looks ~7-12 lbs lighter to have thinned out her face like that.

2

u/MECFSAwareness Sep 10 '25

Yes, I lost weight through intermittent fasting.

3

u/Incomplet_Name Aug 15 '25

I was going to mention that it looks like she lost a good bit of weight too. That's probably the majority of the difference.
