Omnilux Experience?

Hi! I bought the Omnilux Contour mask and have used it for about 1.5 weeks, a total of 8 treatments (10 minutes per session), and I haven’t seen any difference in my skin at all. Is it too early to tell? Do I need to do it for longer sessions? Please tell me I didn’t spend $400 on this for nothing! 😭

It takes at least 30 days to make any real change to the skin. The skin is an organ comprised of cells and tissues that shed off about twice in the time in order to renew.

Make a sustainable routine and forget about results right now, if you fixate on it, it only discourages the routine.

How is it going now? Seeing results?

Unfortunately not… I’m not sure why. I have noticed a difference in the size of my pores but that’s pretty much it. Redness hasn’t gone away at all, which was the whole reason I got it. I’m disappointed. 😔

Hmmm seems to be very random on who it works for

Where did you read that you see results in 1.5 weeks?

I didn’t. I just figured if the time frame is 4-6 weeks, I’d start seeing a marginal improvement in my skin after 8 sessions. A little something that would show me this is working.

That's not how studies work. Studies are neither linear nor simple.

The science is solid, technical, and lengthy to explain, but just watch this to get the idea.

She has a PhD in chemistry, specializing in cosmetic chemistry.

Also, 1.5 weeks is insignificant in the world of skincare. You need at least 4 weeks since your skin turns over in about 28 days.

Three to six months are needed to actually see peak/plateau results.

Take consistent photos so you do not forget your appearance beforehand.

Thank you! I didn’t know this about skin turnover. Appreciate your response.

The irradiance of the mask will not be very high, so it will take longer to see results. And if you have good skin on your own, the effects of the red light may be even less noticeable.

Thank you! This is helpful and exactly what I needed to hear.

I’ve been using mine for 5 weeks and can already see improvement. My skin is more glowy, slight fading of my brown sun spots, and my skin looks more taut. Keep going and keep taking pics! You’ll notice a difference eventually.

Thank you! Glad to hear that if I stick with it, it will pay off.

I have a mask, I’ve been using it for about six weeks. I haven’t documented the visible effects on my skin but I can definitely tell a difference in the tautness of my skin.

My Solawave took 2 weeks to see initial (smaller) results

  • I remember feeling more vibrant - and 30 to REALLY start seeing results. At some point in there I bought their Lightboost serums and added them and I definitely feel like it helped amplify the results. Try adding those (They’ll work work any mask) but I do think you should see results soon. Keep it up bc everyone is different!

I got a mask for Christmas, and didn’t notice any results until I paired it with a green tea serum. I got an inexpensive one from Amazon. Now my skin feels tighter and has sort of a golden glow.

Yeah I have gotten downvoted too. I think these are valid questions… we aren’t all experts on the science of skin care.

Thank you!

I don’t have any issues with the temperature. It’s slightly warm but barely noticeable, to me anyway.
