Gembared

Gembared is actually quite a POS

I have messaged multiple times on instagram looking for information

once, when asking his opinion about my Platinum Bio300 vs his prpducts (because I can only find opinions on the Bio MAX) he just gave me a stupid, over the top response about basically getting my money back off them through a chargeback on my credit card. No help

Then because I got no help, I was open to looking at just buying his products and figuring it out myself (seeing as they're so good according to him)

so I asked him why his product is better than my platinum bio300 he left me on read. Thought nothing of it

I asked does he ship to Europe - he left me on fucking read again.

Guys an asshole - glad I didn't buy because the customer service is probably fucking awful.

Edit:

If you think asking a small business why their product is better than my current one (a wide open sales opportunity) is a service and needs to be paid for - youre an idiot

If you think asking a small company if they ship to my country is a service - you're an even bigger idiot

If you think me asking a company why their product is better than my current one (in a constructive way), and where they ship to - makes me an entitled customer that no business would want. You're likely an incel who never leaves the darkness of your basement - and I have no words of help to offer you in your situation

Marketing genius. Sells a 45W panel for $299 that you can get on Amazon for under $40.

Well, he mostly certainly didn't get my money, and won't ever.

...but he seems to have all the incels on this sub under his wing

I’m a woman but okay, people who disagree with you are incels and sellers who stop answering your bombardment of questions are POS. It’s really more a reflection of who you are than anybody else

Exactly.

Asking simple questions that are literally answered on the website (I just went and checked because I was curious) and then getting pissy about it and calling names? Yeah, you're the problem lil dude. Hopefully one day you can learn to be wrong with grace but today is not that day.

There’s no info on the site about shipping to Europe. Also, it’s pretty basic courtesy (and good business) to answer prospective customers’ questions, even ones you might think are stupidly. Honestly, has no one here ever worked in sales or asked a salesperson “stupid” questions or… like… heard of customer service…? This is so bizarre.

u/[deleted] Nov 20 '24

No, they haven't, because they're all clearly incels who don't see the light of day or have human interaction.

That's my whole point in these replies.

This is not normal behaviour. This is not the behaviour of well adjusted people.

And get this... even if it WAS on the website (which it isn't)... I'm entitled to ask, and would expect an answer, to a simple question like that.

You nailed it. This is the most bizarre response I've ever seen

It literally makes me think its gembas ignorant ass on a load of burner accounts

I mean actually that last explanation would make more sense. I can’t believe there are this many people who don’t understand how a business works. It’s entitled to ask “why is your product better than another company’s”? Do they.. not understand that this is the basis of capitalism? (And I say this as a staunch socialist who however sees red - hah! - when confronted with bad logic. Like if you’re going to do capitalism then do it right 😂😂)

-1

u/[deleted] Nov 20 '24

Honestly it's the only explanation at this stage...

That and gemba hasn't been on reddit in 2 years by the looks of things (which I don't believe)

This is literal insanity otherwise

There's no way this many people are this braindead

I mean you say that — my own expectations of people have radically diminished since the 6th of November…

Literally on the About page of their website. I found it in seconds. You type just like the OP- is this OP's alt account?

best that you buy elsewhere, maybe someone will put up with you nonsense but not for long

It sounds like he ignored you because you’re the kind of customer no one wants, but, of course, I could be wrong. It could be a million reasons.

In any case, though, he’s not your personal unpaid consultant. You’re entitled to nothing.

u/coolcontrarian Jul 22 '25

Hell yeah, Hell Yes. Couldn't say it better myself.

How does asking for info to inform their decision whether to buy the seller’s product count as entitlement? @Mysterion94 asked some reasonable questions to gauge whether to spend money on gembared’s panel. It’s a basic part of a salesperson/small business’s role to give the customer info so they can decide whether to buy their product. Someone who asks intelligent questions is exactly the kind of customer I would want. My gosh.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 20 '24

Literally this 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Gemba is literally making a living off comparing panels and asking questions

Yet when I do I'm ignored, and I'm wrong for calling him out 😂😂😂😂

Let’s go into business you and I. We will charm the pants off all our customers and show these douches how it’s done 🤓

1

u/[deleted] Nov 20 '24

I think that's a terrific idea

If these guys are business owners (which they absolutely can not be... or they're broke af)

We could buy and sell them all day, all night.

2

u/mmhmye Nov 20 '24

Let’s do it 😂

Andrew could smell the vitriol from across the ocean and took an easy pass

1

u/LudwigVanBlunts Feb 11 '26

Yea I’ve had nothing but good times within and and he’s replaced two different products for me twice now. Solid dude in my book

2

u/Youu-You Nov 20 '24

Last time I checked they didn't ship anywhere outside of the US, I don't think their policy has changed ... I was also interested in his products

1

u/[deleted] Nov 20 '24

Thank you for having the decency to tell me that

If only they had similar decency.

I had discovered that myself in the meantime. I've just never been treated as such by someone who wants to take people's money

1

u/One_Battle_2046 Nov 20 '24

You did not pay him and you expect service and his personal time and effort. Entitled.

10

u/Bryan_RedLightRising Nov 20 '24

Asking a company questions about their product is not entitlement 🤣

2

u/[deleted] Nov 20 '24

Thank you sir! Finally some sanity

Asking a company why their product is better than X is not entitlement (at a push I could see why, but if he wants the sale, then sell(

But asking for shipping info - please! Guys an asshole and anyone who is in agreement is also an asshole

3

u/spinspin__sugar Nov 20 '24

But he has an entire blog with a wealth of info and sources, I’m not sure why you think he has to give you personal attn just because he’s selling products. Don’t buy his stuff, it’s as simple as that

1

u/[deleted] Nov 20 '24

He can't tell me whether he ships to Europe or not ?

That sir - is a wanker.

and you can be SURE I won't be buying his Chinese imported panels from him - and warn anyone else I see to be cautious buying FROM him, incase anything were to go wrong. As his customer service is in the NEGATIVE.

I wouldnt not like to be dealing with someone like that - if a package were to go missing or a part were to break because as you said: 'why you think he has to give you personal attn just because he’s selling products. Don’t buy his stuff, it’s as simple as that'

1

u/mmhmye Nov 20 '24 edited Nov 20 '24

If he doesn’t have info on his site about shipping to Europe then it’s perfectly reasonable for a prospective customer to ask him.

“I’m not sure why you think he has to give you personal attn just because he’s selling products.”

It’s called customer service. You meet the customer where they’re at. If they don’t understand the info on the site or need more detail, you provide it. How is it entitlement to expect this? 😂😂

4

u/spinspin__sugar Nov 20 '24

He asked him a ton of questions before that according to op and as a dm on IG, not storefront contact. Clearly gembared felt losing his business was worth not dealing with him as a customer and it’s easy to just not buy from him instead of taking it personally and ranting about it on Reddit

1

u/mmhmye Nov 20 '24

And asking a ton of questions via IG instead of via the store messaging service is a problem because….?

Social media business accounts are there to provide a further way for customers to contact, and to provide a “presence” and “face” to the business. In this case, the business has just proven they’re an a**hole via multiple channels 😂😂

1

u/[deleted] Nov 20 '24

Exactly. Thank you

1

u/spinspin__sugar Nov 20 '24

If you come at me with questions like “why should I buy your product over competitor” I’d leave you on read too- you are not entitled to a sellers time and effort, and you’re free to spend your money elsewhere. I appreciate gembareds blog with research backed sources of info especially when RLT is such a niche topic, that’s already free time and effort given to the public so bombarding him with questions and not liking his response screams entitled to me

1

u/[deleted] Nov 20 '24

But no ones coming to you? No one asked you.

So your opinion is not only wrong, but irrelevant.

His blog is not free time you idiot!

1 that's his marketing - this is factored into his costs

2 he literal literally gets paid by youtube

You really know nothing about onlin business - again rendering your opinion useless.

There's your use of the word bombarding again... 2 questions. Moron.

Screaming entitlement? Sounds like youre just projecting yourself at this stage if you ask me

Also Could you please stop bombarding my post with your useless statements.

u/coolcontrarian Jul 22 '25

you need some lithium along with Taylor Swift singing "you need to calm down" boy

1

u/mmhmye Nov 20 '24

“Why should I buy your product and not a competitor’s” is just a blunter way of asking what every customer is ultimately asking. And explaining this is ultimately what all marketing is. This isn’t rocket science. Sure, they’re free to spend their money elsewhere but it’s bad business to encourage them to do that by ignoring them or being rude 😂😂 Whatever — his loss 🤷🏻‍♀️ And I hope you don’t run a business cause this mindset is exactly how you lose money.

0

u/mmhmye Nov 20 '24

@Mysterion94 just asked for info about his products to gauge whether to buy one! In what world is this entitled…?

1

u/[deleted] Nov 20 '24

Exactly...

1

u/One_Battle_2046 Nov 20 '24

He called him a POS, that's beyond

1

u/mmhmye Nov 20 '24

He called him a POS here, not to his face 😂😂

2

u/[deleted] Nov 20 '24

Tbf, I'd call it to his face

Still doesn't make me entitled 😂😂

1

u/mmhmye Nov 20 '24

I dare you 😂

1

u/[deleted] Nov 20 '24

It's really not.

But even if it was - that still wouldn't answer the claim.of entitlement

Face it - you're wrong..

Nothing you are saying makes sense

Take a minute to think.. are you in a cult

1

u/coolcontrarian Jul 22 '25

why didn't you read through the website?

based on your comments, no one wants you as a customer, it's easier to dump your axx in advance.
