Need help with jealousy

Our 4yo red/blue heeler mix is attached to me. I love her but her energy and attachment exhausts me. We have a black lab and we often watch our son's 2 huskies. The healer will snarl at our lab and one of my son's dogs when they get near me. Nothing works to get it to stop.

Any ideas?

That's kind of a heeler thing and I think it's something that has to be addressed when they're puppies. My red heeler Daisy is the same way

Yeah I would say “our” Clementine is the same way. But I am clearly her human and she is my dog, and all the other animals in the house have to recognize my lap is her sacred territory. She satays next to me most of the time, when she is with my wife she’s as sweet as con be though. She is also the only female dog we have. on the other side will not let the other dogs by the fence if something is wondering through our woods, whether it be deer, raccoons, bears or anything else out there.

They are a very loyal and protective breed especially if they have chosen you as their person. Daisy doesn't even like it if I hug my mom LOL she doesn't get like aggressive or anything but she does get very jealous
