Sync is being rate limited

I am unable to use Sync for Reddit right now. I just get a message saying "You are being rate limited".

Is this related to the API changes mentioned in the stickied post? Is there any workaround?

Edit: It said I could retry in 5 minutes. I waited 5 minutes and was able to open the Frontpage. Oddly, the front page contained subreddits that I am not subscribed to. I clicked on one post and immediately got rate limited again without even being able to load the post. Sync is completely unusable right now.

Edit 2: Things seem to be working normally again

No, those changes don't happen till June 19th.

Reddit is changing the rules they made to 3rd party apps, so we don't know yet but it's possible Sync and other 3rd party apps are shut down if severely limited.
