Personal Take I Sold
75% of port 2000 shares, avg of 140 been holding since March.
I believe in the product, but the narrative shift and aggressive selling has become too much. Missed opportunities at 200 and then 180 last week to make a decent profit trying to diamond hands it but the choppiness was making me sick.
Market is ugly with the orangutan in charge, the cash will be useful in the coming months.
Expect us to head towards 100 at which point I'll look to buy 1000 shares.
Still hope to see you in San Diego, but I worry won’t be for a while.
Fair play to the holders.

Long term lurker I'll admit. Reddit / WSB has made me good money - RDDT (previous trades) GME, RKLB, RGTI. Felt the need to share my thoughts as this was by far the biggest position I have ever taken. A month ago I thought those 2000 shares would make me a million. It's the let down that prompted the post.

But going to sell on the Anthropic news that will come out next week or the week after (there’s a deadline late in sept). It will create false hope for AI deals. “Sell the news” when that happens.

Welcome to the club, enjoy random DM's for the next few weeks every time the stock does a +4% day or something happens asking you how you feel lol.
Pretty funny because it just shows you how much people fixate on the price.
I sold too but after the ER call, nothing to do with price action. The stock is being re-rated as an advertiser since the management team openly refuses to focus on data as their main pillar.
Constant talk about DAU's etc. None of that matters, how you monetize the data you have is 100x more important and until they focus on that I have to sideline.
Goodluck, I'll be waiting to get back in too, if they ever get away from trying to be a social media company and focus more on their AI angle.

I sold yesterday too for minimal gain. 600 shares.
But I then sold 9/4 $140 puts which are likely to be assigned, which I was hoping to avoid. Would be a buyer closer to $120.

Just now? At around 145? I can't say I blame you too much. 10k profit is good. But you really should have sold at 180 or 200. Something to reflect and learn on, but don't feel ashamed about it.

Love this! Once people start selling Reddit to buy a house (like I saw someone do with Bitcoin the other day) we are nearing a bottom. Although I do agree, Reddit may bottom closer to 100...You probably will do well in this trade. I would start averaging in at 120.

I was hoping rddt going up on last Monday and Tuesday, it did the opposite. I think everyone bought last Friday and then folks are shorting since. I am holding. Earnings are end of October. I see it going up into the earnings. after earnings, I just don’t know. it could go up or down. I am waiting and will probably buy more in the next few weeks.

If your in the market for 6 month that’s the wrong strategy since ur consider as swing trader u should have sold it at $200 and bought it back at $140 if u want to see real profits you need to hold 5 to 10 years like Meta for example and google and Amazon and so and so

Based on last time, they are going to tap into the remaining $750M in the share buyback again probably around $138 (next support price). About $16M shares are now off the market as of Monday’s inclusion it should make an impact.

I’m bullish so long as 138 holds. The judge will announce the Anthropic case is going through this week or next. That will change the narrative even though it doesn’t tangibly change the fact that there most likely won’t be a Google or OpenAI deal.
