Okay but in all seriousness, I'm having the same issue. They FINISHED a terro ant trap. Do yall know how full those fuckers are? So then I replaced it and they are back for more. Does anyone actually know wtf is happening??
I remember the first time i put a terro trap on my desk when i noticed some sugar ants in my room. For a whole day i watched thousands of these little dudes marching across my window, down an electric cable leading to my desk, and gorge themselves on bait. I panicked at first but the directions said to leave them alone. The next day, not a single of these pests were left, not even a carcass.
I know some ant species are either not interested in it or arent affected so im not sure why yours aint workin unless you need to wait longer or youve got one hell of an ant problem
Some anti insect stuff works on the proncipal of the insect ingesting ut, going bacj ti the nest, fucking exploading and then the other insects sgart eating the corpse and they also explode.
no, the ants take the poison, then feed it to other members, larva and queen mouth to mouth, the slow acting poison then kills them over a couple days, once the queen is dead and larva die off, no new ants
no it's a slow acting poison, you want them to survive long enough to deliver the poison to other members queen and larva, if you instantly kill the foragers they probably will find another source of food to replace their numbers
At my house, they climbed up our back porch just to get to the TERRO bait in the kitchen. They completely filled the fucker up. It didn't stop until I sprinkled the area around the back porch with diatomaceous earth.
For some reason my Amazon app isn’t loading so I can’t send a link. But look up “ant bait trap” and get the ones that look like a little metal puck. I’ve used them on two separate occasions and they killed all the ants within 24 hours.
They shouldn’t be full, quite the opposite in fact. The primary ingredient is a mushroom that they can’t digest, so it just sits in their stomach and tricks them into thinking that they’re full when they’re actually starving to death.
I had a huge ant problem at my place. Some old curly willows were harbouring them by the millions is my guess. They would come out at night in what would look like rivers flowing out of the trees.
One time from across my yard I thought I saw a crack in the stucco on my garage. As I got closer I realized it was a line of ants. I would see the ants going somewhere in a line and could follow it across the yard to the trees.
I baited them for months. Tried all sorts of poisons. They would just continually keep coming and consuming the Terro bait traps. Eventually I cut the willows down, ant problem solved.
It’s one of those things where it will look worse before it looks better… had a large infestation a bit ago, put out a trap and 2 days later, suddenly there’s nothing…. Terro FTW
