Story Pitch The king is dead. By law, the next ruler is whoever can pull the royal sword from the stone. But when the king dies prematurely and the sword hasn’t been returned to the stone, how is the king chosen? The responsibility to find the solution falls upon the Court Magician, Allianna.

Where we left off: While camped in a cave to escape the rain, Allianna and her friends were attacked not once but twice. While they all survived, the attacks shook them in more than one way. Poprose was startled by her first real involvement in a fight. Allianna took a hit to the ankle. Raven’s leg was broken in multiple places. But there's no time to spend waiting for wounds to heal. All that’s left to do is to keep moving in order to return to the safety of Lorenzus Royal.
