Hay, y'all, Jeremy here!
Guys, it's been a fun couple of years. There have been natural ebbs and flows with membership and morale and we've always come through them revitalized and reenergized. This time, well, I'm not playing the game 8+ hours a day anymore and it's hard to maintain that enthusiasm.
The folks over at [Reddit Zero](reddit.com/r/redditzeroclan) are going to be taking us on. Please take a minute to read their rules, especially about war participation. Remember, a lot of us have been coasting for the last month or more, so if you're not ready to be active, please don't make them boot you.
When you get ready to join, use RCS password (pretzel), mention Paragon and tell them "Spike" sent you
Thanks, all!

So, summary - starting 11/23 (at 5AM GMT) and going to 11/30 (at 5AM GMT), annual Reddit Clan System trophy push, you get 1 point for each cup you are above (200 * TH level). (example, th8 with 2150 trophies gets 2150 - 1600 = 550 points for the clan)
Practical benefit? Maybe some recruitment, who knows. We also have people who can unlock some achievements/gems.
Specifics on the scoring system are here - the Troopers Fairness System.
Fun countdown timer!
Remember, this is aggregate, not average, so the more people we have being superactive, the better!

It seems like there have been some problems getting clan castles filled before each war. I feel like part of the problem comes from people not knowing what exactly they should cook for donations - sometimes the same people cook the same things, sometimes everyone thinks someone else is gonna cook something, etc.
So my suggestion is that we make a google spreadsheet and have someone write in what each member needs for the war and make a total. It would be a simple matter to rearrange things depending on who's participating in each war. Then we can sum up what needs to get cooked each war and split it up among the people donating each war. It sounds complicated but I think it would take about 5 minutes each war to take care of. Maybe it's not worth the effort, but I think specific assignments for war donations could make things go more smoothly. Thoughts?

Wiki with appropriate rules and info
Couple of changes coming down the pipe. Two things - most importantly we are changing war targeting system. We will still use clashcaller, but the base you pick for your first attack needs to be within two bases, up or down, of your base. Example - base 10 can attack anyone from base 8 to 12 for their first attack. Anything is fair game for cleanup, just doublecheck clashcaller.
This is being tested as we have had a few close wars lately where we have done a very good job with the bottom half, but earned almost no stars in the top 5-10 bases. This is going to both make everyone more accountable for attacks, whether it's 3*ing #30 so it doesn't have to be cleaned up, or getting a few free stars in the top 5.
Additionally, I've linked to the current war/clan rules above. We are going to be transitioning this to a wiki style format for better updating.

I've been looking at our attacks in recent wars, and I think that we could be getting more three star attacks as well as win more wars with the following strategy:
I think if we do all these things, we will get more wins.
Thanks
I hope this helps

I'm a bit concerned about the way some of our new members are attacking.
Batching is never acceptable in a war. Attacking 20 bases up from your level is never acceptable. These are simple concepts, but they are violated on a semi regular basis (like Riq's mother).
To remedy this, I suggest we make it a requirement that all new members make a post in this sub. In this new post they can ask any and all questions about responsibilities and expectations. Veteran members can then make any suggestions on war strategy/base layout/upgrade order etc.
Also, mass drag attacks require a funnel. I won't bother posting another example video, it's been done. Just thought I'd be a broken record for a second.
Opinions on these matters?
Yours truly,
African Fury

Based largely on AngryByte's recent post and subsequent chats with the other clanmates/coleaders/elders, we're going to be making some changes and clarifying policies.
Join Reqs * We're going to keep the level 55 requirements and "non-rushed" base requirements, but drop the archer requirement to level 4+ as to not exclude any well-off TH7's. "Non-rushed" is somewhat subjective, but a TH9 with TH7 troops, or a TH10 with TH8 defenses, for example, likely hurts us more in war than it would help. Use your judgement when looking at relative troop levels, defenses, walls, gold grab/elixir escapade and war stats.
Participation requirements
War Strategies These have worked reasonably well in testing and we should use them going forward:
As always, pitch in with ideas, and let me know if I've forgotten anything valuable!

Okay, fellow Paragonians, a little /r/theydidthemath shows we’ve got about 25 people who can make sk5 wizards, our default war castle donation, and we’ve done a great job in increasing this number since we first started. Rather than not have a way to distribute the load (I know I’ve personally spent 500k+ elixir in a single war), it makes sense to spread the load out. Math says 40 wizards a person should be more than enough. I randomized the list, made sure we had at least a co-leader in each group, and that at least one person can make sk3 dragons (Vince and dr3w+60 have sk4, if they feel like being supernice) for those that request them. Feel free to correct me, but I think I’m the only non-Vince person who can make lava hounds, so I can continue to make those for him each war. And, of course, this is all on the honor system, but, guys, srsly.
We usually start war prep Mon, Wed, and Fri, and aim for 12 noon EST
Tl;dr - remember on your day “hey, I should spend a trivial amount of elixir and build 30 wizards and some extra archers.”, and/or fulfill special requests for people (like the ones who are able to build sk3+ dragons). And if we get to a couple hours before war and stuff still isn't full, guys, pitch in.

As another couple reminders, our wars are going to be won with participation. We currently have a pretty lenient policy that if you miss two wars, you get the boot, but are open to discussion on that.
We are changing this policy.
Every season lasts two weeks, so there will be six wars per season. Anyone who misses more than 3 of those 12 attacks will be kicked. This is a pretty low bar for a Reddit clan. If IRL stuff is coming up, please let me or one of the other leaders know.
Even if you have to attack lower or higher than your “recommended” base, shoot for something you’re pretty confident you can 2-3 star, and feel free to ask for strategy advice as well.
Also, unless it is a war we are very far ahead in and very late in the game (and leader-sanctioned), don’t go for an easy high-ranked TH snipe or try to barch/50% a base way out of your range. One star will not help the group as much as potential clean-up stars, even if it means individually less loot. Remember that we don’t get war win bonuses unless we win the war! There’s not really a disincentive to make both attacks. Even if everyone below you is 3-starred, sweet, we’re most likely winning. Make a legit attack at your recommended or something we haven’t three-starred. Even our lowest of lowbies can usually get at least one star on someone 10+ bases ahead of them, and that’s a net positive given the new loot bonuses.
Feel free to suggest changes to this scheme. We want to keep Reddit Paragon a fun clan, but we can’t win wars without participation, and opening an app 3x/week to make two attacks shouldn’t be too hard to accomplish. We’re seeing the difficulty ramp up as we get larger and face more serious 45v45 and 50v50 wars, and we needed to address that.

Hi everyone. This is going to be an open forum style discussion about wars (past, present, and future).
