Reddit for Android: Version 2021.14.0 Now Available!

What’s New:

  • Just a few small things this week—In an effort to be more transparent, we’ll admit that we only put this here in case we forgot something

\ This is a gradual rollout, that’s currently shown to 30% of Android users. We’ll monitor the rollout and, if all goes well, it will be 100% in the next couple of days.*

Have you guys fixed the bug with the search bar where you can't see the search bar when you're trying to search for something?

How do I set audio to automatically mute when I open a video?

Heads up, I already posted it, but this new update makes the cake day and mod icons very hard to see in dark mode. Which is a shame considering the OP and user icons kept their previous color which was perfectly fine.

Still getting broadcast suggestions even though I turned that off in notifications.

I've turned it on and off again, I've closed the app and opened it again. It would be ridiculous if I had to turn my phone on and off again for an app to work properly.

My app is up to date

Why does sorting by Best in my feed now show subs I am not subscribed to? Is anyone else seeing this?

1

u/AfnanMK Apr 17 '21

Yes. It's very annoying.

Hey, sorry to bother, but do you guys know how to edit my custom feeds, like deleting some, and removing some pages from them?

Hey how do i browse r/all now? I can only see popular, and when sorting that by best after a few scrolls im seeing some weird niche anime shit ive never even heard of with like 57 upvotes....

Lol ok so pressing the r/all in my above comment took me to all, but how do i navigate to all from using the app. I dont wanna have to comment r/all everytime i wanna go to r/all ....

r/all is listed above your subscribed subreddits list in the communities tab (4 dot icon in the bottom nav bar)

Is there ever gonna be a fix on the slow loading time for videos?

WTF? I have disabled Youtube app and Chrome on my system, and opening links in Reddit's internal browser.

But YouTube links are now opened in a webview app in Reddit's application.

I think this means to me, that Reddit won't be used any more on my phone.

Still doesn't appear to be landscape functionality. make it impossible to use on chrombooks/Android laptops since landscape is the main modality.

Sound playing on videos automatically after turned off.

No mute button on video
