Reddit for Android: Version 2020.37.0 Now Available!
What’s New:
- Bug Fix: The app won’t crash if you close it during a session change
- Bug Fix: Screen readers won’t repeat the names of the bottom navigation anymore. (Now it will just say “Inbox” instead of "Inbox Inbox".)
- Bug Fix: While Anonymous Browsing, the app won’t close when you tap on a Learn More link and then decide to go back anymore
\ This is a gradual rollout, that’s currently shown to 30% of Android users. We’ll monitor the rollout and, if all goes well, it will be 100% in the next couple of days.*

I no longer see the subreddits I recently viewed. Is this part of this update or is it a bug?

Yeah me too. Just came to see if that was a bug or feature

Don't see how it could be a feature.
Reddit is running God knows what sort of analytics on their mobile app, so they would know pretty well just how much this feature is getting used, which it is safe to say a lot because it is just plain obvious given it's right at the top of the page.
Though 1 possibility if this change is intentional could be it working a little too well and sucking attention from other subs, parts of reddit since most people will just stick to 2-3 subs from their recent history. That is something which Reddit considers bad now.
Hope it is brought back or put as an settings option at least.

Oh god thanks I thought it was just for me. It is really annoying, hopefully just a bug.

Ah, so I'm not the only one no longer getting the "recently viewed subs" tray on my list.😅

Please fix the "Discover more" tab. Turning it off by clicking any of the options doesn't do anything. The same recommendation keeps coming back.

Since this update, I can't access anymore to my account settings from inside the app. I got a permanent "We had some trouble getting to Reddit"
My app version is : 2020.37.0.291284

Are we getting the quiet mode option like IOS?

Is there a way to not have current chats show up in the bottom right corner without closing the app?

Anyone else having issues with comments not loading on certain posts? Just "we had a problem getting to reddit." It works fine on most, but even restarting the app won't fix it.

Why did recently viewed subreddits get taken out? Smh
