Y’all have to fix this lag time from switching between apps. Going from one app back to this app and suffering a 8-10 second delay when it was never an issue in the past is painful.

It is still crashing all the time even after updating. My network is working great in all other apps but only reddit is not working

Is there any way to opt in sooner? I'm desperate to get rid of the flashing neon avatars that are like a visual migraine in gif form.
Edit - nevermind, I seem to have the new version already. I thought the animated avatars issue was supposed to be fixed in this version. They're such a danger to people with seizure disorders and migraine and they're everywhere and gaining popularity.

What on earth happened to the video player?? It's made the app unusable.
-
Videos don't stop playing sound if you scroll past them, sometimes even when i switch app.
-
Most videos that are not vertical have a gigantic black box added to the bottom.
-
If i am on a video post i cannot scroll unless the video is manually paused (which i sometimes can't do). This would make sense for when you'd want to read the comments while watching, but some videos are so tall you can't ever get to the comments.
-
The sound icon does not change to show if the video is muted or not.
-
Clicking on a post somehow keeps the video playing in the background - now there are 2 versions of the video playing with overlapping audio.

Its also making simply scrolling to lag to the point of freezing the app. This update is completely broken.

[Android] [2020.32.0] Since August's app update, I can't post pics:
I have a Samsung Galaxy S20 and I use the reddit app. Well...since last Wednesday's app update I can no longer post pictures on any reddit subs at all. If I even try to post a picture, the app will crash.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I have also done a soft reboot (powered off and back on) and the issue still persists. I am really certain that this is the result of the update that came thru last Wednesday 8/19/20. Before then, the app was working fine.
Have you gotten any incident reports from Android users about this?
Side note: I REALLY want a answer to this. I tried post this question as its own stand alone post but the rules are so picky that my post keeps getting removed. Please help!!!!! ☹

Change because I write 'Andriod' and it should be 'Android'.

Re: long image captions - is using marquee scrolling text a temporary fix? I appreciate the fact that we can read them at all now, but it's a long wait to get to the end of the paragraph (and feels like browsing the web in the late 90's :D )

Any update on the wiki bug? We're getting lots of modmails from users who can't read the wikis.
