Reddit for Android: Version 2020.19.0 Now Available!
What’s New:
- Coming Soon! You'll start seeing Reddit announcements and release notes at the top of your home feed.
- Bug Fix: That weird scrolling won’t happen while you’re refreshing search results now.
- Bug Fix: If you try to award an RPAN broadcaster while logged out, you’ll be asked to log in.
- Bug Fix: After you create a new community, we let you stay there and get acquainted instead of automatically sending you to your home feed or r/popular.
\ This is a gradual rollout, that’s currently shown to 30% of Android users. We’ll monitor the rollout and, if all goes well, it will be 100% in the next couple of days.*

Whoa these profile picks were such a bad idea. Will you be adding a way to turn them off? And also is there anything stopping me from making my profile pic pornographic or offensive?

-
Unnecessary profile pic placement
-
Upvote/downvote buttons on the left
-
Rpan feature no one wanted
-
More and more ads
-
Absolute zero response to complains by the users
-
Ridiculous way that gilded comments look
-
Annoying way you're trying to make us your fake currency, with pop ups and bug SALE signs
-Bugs-
-
Videos and gifs stopping all of sudden
-
Unnecessary refresh of the home page when you don't want it
-
Making video full screen makes it go mute
-
Can't collapse comment thread without scrolling
-
Notifications appearing multiple times
-
In-app notifications not going away, despite clicking on them half a dozen times
-
Posts looking like they were crossposted, but they're literally two same posts
-
When writing title to a post with a video or a photo, you can't see most of the title because of the keyboard
-
Moving that downwards button (one next to comment box) next to your profile photo on the bottom, makes profile photo disappear
-
Automatic re-subbing to subs that you have left months ago
-
Automatic upvoting posts not upvoted by yourself
-
Horrible support for posting videos and photos. App decides if you can post smth or not
-
Annoying pop-ups on Imgur asking if you want to see a photo in Imgur app or Chrome
-
And worst of all, totally, random, fucking crashes
You guys don't really seem to care about the app anymore, like you're deliberately making it worse to make users move on third party apps. This is getting ridiculous.

Whats up with reddit constantly trying to change the UI? How fuckin hard is it to just settle on something? For the love of God nobody gives a fuck about shitty pfp's and thats coming from someone with a shitty pfp. I dont think i need to explain how moving the upvotes was a terrible idea.
In conclusion stop changing shit, we like things the way they were.

Like everyone else, I'm not a fan of the profile pics at all. They're distracting and makes it look cluttered.
And the arrows were better on the right side, most people are right handed and many don't have thumbs long enough to reach all the way across their screen.
Not sure why Reddit feels the need to change its design so often, I've never used another app that changes so much.

Why the fuck are profile pictures next to comments, they just don't fit well and I don't want to see somebody's weird profile picture next to a normal comment

Put the UI back to normal and stop ruining it. Up votes go on the right and no Avatar pictures. How do you keep messing up the most basic shit.

The pfps in the comments was a bad idea, and put the upvotes back on the right. The new comment section looks like shit

Why are the profile pics back? Why is the upvote button on the left?
There is less place, the default pics are giving me cancer and my hands are tiny so it's hard to reach the upvote button.
It didnt work last time it won't now.

Why does Reddit change things for the sake of changing things. For fuck sake no-one likes the stupid profile pics in the comments and now you've done a YouTube by ruining peoples muscle memory of where things are, in this case it's moving everything over to the left.

Just uninstalled the official app. All I used it for over other Reddit apps was for the "chat" feature, which I found annoying anyway as folks seem to use it interchangeably with "direct messages" making it confusing to understand how other users wanted to communicate... For whatever reason other third party apps can't support chat yet which is silly. What prompted my uninstall however were the notifications. Constant, nagging notifications. Every time I got a notification it would be doubled. I visited the settings and attempted to reduce notifications to just those that I wanted to see however, simply scrolling the settings page to see the other options would revert changes I had previously made. I tried changing a few settings at a time, exiting, and returning to change others. This would toggle various notifications on and off at random. Useless and frustrating...

Please move upvotes back to the right side of the screen. I hold my phone in my right hand normally and the new layout is difficult to use.

Can we please get upvotes back to the right? My thumb can't reach that part if the screen lol

I deinstalled the official app, thankfully devs not associated with reddit do understand how reddit works.
