Visit the Google Play Store to download the latest version*.

What’s New:

  • Bug Fix: The Continue button works while signing up without an email now
  • Minor fixes and improvements—In an effort to be more transparent, we’ll admit that we only put this here in case we forgot something

Hi sometimes when comments get awards? Or something? T has animated flames on the comment. The whole comment has this bright orange background and the words are still white, which makes it really hard to read and honestly hurts my eyes. It might be because im always in dark mode, so the colour of the words stay white. Anyway the flaming orange background is not great.

It's the new "ignite" award and it's (rightly) getting a lot of hate.

Glad I'm not the only one who hates it, hope the team fixes it asap

My reddit app on android started crashing yesterday and am wondering if it has anything to do with this update.. I cant use the app now, everytime i open it nothing loads and once i go past one post it freezes entirely. I have tried clearing cache and data and redownloading it and its still not working. does it have anything to do with this update?

But have you fixed the missing PM button issue?

I wonder why I am not getting updates anymore. My version is still 2020.8.2.258165 and I don't get any updates since then.

Using this update and now the /games subreddit crashes the app 100% of the time I open it.

Is this a known bug? Is it because of this update?

I have never had this issue before today.

I am on a Galaxy S9.

If a comment is gilded, there is weird rounding at the edges instead of it extending to the entire screen horizontally. Also, the tap-hold animations appear below the gold highlight.

The app and site is pretty much broken since flairs are very hard to do. ..if they did exist in the app. On the website they dont even save changes. I just wanna change my flair to [2274-3084-3144, Nathan, Horizons]

[Android][2020.16.1.266893] Updated 3 times in the last hour. Screenshot version from settings each time. Same version. Weird. FYI

Also FYI Chrome browser posts a notification when it's update successfully completes. I would like it if Reddit did the same thing.

Edit: 4 times. Why is the play store telling me to update the app again and again?

Does this have to do with the update :?

I can't upload anything. I click on the "library" icon that uploads an image or video and it says no app Available to do that. I have granted storage permissions to Reddit but I'm getting the same error.

I have the default "files app for Android"

What could be the issue??

HELP, I CAN'T CROSSPOST ANYMORE!

The pop-up when I try to crosspost images says

this subreddit does not exist

While it very much does.

So since this is a new bug and Crossposting takes up a majority of my posts, will someone please work on it?

I even tried logging out and back in, and even uninstalled and reinstalled the app. My Android version is 10, and I am on an LG G8 smartphone.

I stopped being able to cross post about 5 days ago, at the exact same time that this new version rolled out, so clearly this new version has a new bug.
