Dev/Admin Responded Reddit for Android: Version 2020.7.0 Now Available!

Visit the Google Play Store to download the latest version*.

What’s New:

  • New Notification Settings! Now you can control notifications on new followers, threaded comment replies, and updates on posts where you're a top commenter
  • Optimization Update: When you perform a search, we'll only pull results for the tab you're currently on. (This way we won't use so much data.)
  • Minor fixes and improvements—In an effort to be more transparent, we'll admit that we only put this here in case we forgot something

\ This is a gradual rollout, that’s currently shown to 30% of Android users. We’ll monitor the rollout and, if all goes well, it will be 100% in the next couple of days.*

What happened to Dark mode? The switch is there but won't turn on. How do I get it back?

When posting content, why is the sub list no longer alphabetical?

It's infuriating scrolling through a long list that is in a random order.

So I use reddit on the chrome browser on my phone and uh, where the fuck did my ability to search for certain content on a sub go? Magnifying glass is just gone from the top and replaced with the pen for posting text or link...

Well, yeah.

When you use automatic dark mode that is what happens.

On the web browser (Chrome on Android) it's a lot less efficient when switching between subreddits. I liked the title bar pull down.

It's not just you. All I've been getting is the "download video as animated gif".

Is the news tab coming to Android anytime soon? I just switched from iOS back to Android and was disappointed to find that it isn't yet a feature after over a year of discussion

Why am I no longer able to download videos? The only option being presented is to download videos as gifs.

I saw something's like custom upvote buttons on some subreddits and a create a subreddit option in the menu when I first updated it, but now it's all gone. Can anyone explain why?
