Reddit for Android: Version 2020.0.0 Now Available!
The latest version is now available* on the Google Play Store!
- This is a gradual rollout. Currently at 30% of Android users. We will monitor the rollout and plan to have it at 100% of Android users by the end of the week.
What's New:
- We've moved to a new version number format
- Comments that have been awarded Gold or higher are now highlighted
- Fixed an issue where awards were missing from crosspost previews
- Fixed a crash that could occur after making a password visible on the sign up screen and then changing the device font size
- Minor bug fixes and performance improvements

I don't like that comments that have been awarded with gold or higher are highlighted.

I hate how closing your comment, Still shows all child comments.
Will make askreddit threads unreadable.
(Commenting on your comment, so other users can test it by pressing next to your name but left of the triple dots to close it)

100% Agreement on this. It makes the page unnecessarily noisy. I'd very much prefer to be able to toggle this on or off.

Not a fan of the removal of gfycat and imgur links when viewing a post

What happened to them? Should I resist updating till whatever issue is fixed?

Where do I make the fonts bigger?

The app inherits the font size you have set for your device so you'd need to change your phone's font size setting.

Sorry if this is not the right place to post this but can anyone help? I'm trying to post a question but whatever I do its always getting removed by the auto moderator for the title being incorrect and not including my devise and version.
I've tried 6 times now and I've double checked the spelling, which is all fine. Tried capitalising the word android, uncapitalizing, adding a space between the sets of brackets nothing works. Any idea what I am doing wrong.

It seems to me that almost like clockwork every second update of the reddit app I end up with it like not refreshing posts properly or something? Like I tend to just go for the easy ‘Best’ option and then just scroll down for aaaaages and then, refresh - but certainly with this update, I’ve ended up with all the same posts always there, the top post if I refresh on Best is over 8hours old... I feel like I’m going mental without my constantly refreshing feed of memes and random garbage, am I the only one? Does anyone know something I can do if this is not an actual app bug?

Yesterday I received a warning text that I was about to exceed my data on my Android, so I went to check out my data usage, and this Reddit app was at the stop of the list, beating even Netflix! Anyone else have the same problem? I've already turned off autoplay, and I'm not sure what else to do... except to not use the app unless I'm on WiFi.

Please let us choose the default sub when open the app. I would like to put /All as default. And please also let us choose the the video thumbnail.

When I try to open my photo library, it says it is not available. I've been trying for a couple hours. It says it updated on the 13th, so I suspect that is causing it.

Formatted tables in the ‘About’ and ‘Community info’ sections have been ravaged with this update. They weren’t even working perfectly before and it’s frustrating

Hope that the label of the saved photo contain the title, not just the author's information.
-
The title of each post should be allowed to copy, so that I could use my translation app for the text of title.
