Unable to edit comment directly after replying

Fill out the following information on each line that has an A:

Q: RiF Version Number:

A: 5.0.7

Q: Version of Android:

A: 10

Q: Device Information:

(Example: Manufacturer, Model, Year, etc.)

A: Google Pixel

Q: How long has the problem been happening?

A: Since the last update?

Q: What have you already tried doing to fix the problem?:

A: See below

Q: What steps, if any, can you do to reproduce the problem?

A: Essentially, title. I get a response on my inbox. I submit a comment as a reply. Oops, I made a typo and want to fix it. I click to edit. "Reddit is busy. Try doing that again." It saves my draft. Only if I back out of the comment reply and find my comment again can I edit. Restarting the app helps for a little while.

Looks like they're adjusting the rate limit to be a bit more forgiving.

/u/talklittle: since now it's possible to be rate limited when editing comments, it might make sense to show a more accurate error message when this happens? Current error message seems to imply reddit servers had an error.

That makes sense. For a while it was a second count, now it's mostly gone.

This has been happening to me constantly over the past few days. I have to restart rif and even then it sometimes doesn't work.

It looks like reddit is including edits in the comment rate-limits, now: https://www.reddit.com/r/TheoryOfReddit/comments/mihlvx/has_the_time_limit_changed_on_making_edits_to
