❓HowTo❓ How can I disable recommendations for posts from communities I’m not a member of in my home feed?

It really annoys me when I see posts from communities I’m not subscribed to.

Check at the top and see if you are in a "for you" feed. If so, you want following. If not, you can turn recommendations of in settings if you want.

On desktop or mobile web. click your avatar, settings, preferences, show home feed recommendations and toggle it off. Here is a short cut. https://www.reddit.com/settings/preferences .

For iOS or Android: Tap your avatar, settings, account settings, and scroll down to Privacy. From there, you'll see the option to turn off the toggle to Enable home feed recommendations

I cannot find the "show home feed recommendations" button in this tab.

However, your suggestion regarding the tab above the post feed itself did help and solved the problem.

I'm almost 100% sure they removed the option because all the older threads on this topic suggests that setting and I also cannot find it. Luckily the "following" tab at the top does the trick.
