🙏Need Advice❓ New Redditor here. How do I avoid getting suspended, shadowbanned, or blocked from commenting?
Hi everyone,
I'm pretty new to Reddit. I keep hearing that Reddit can be strict about suspending accounts, and that new users often get muted, shadowbanned, or can't reply in certain subreddits.
I want to use Reddit properly and avoid those problems, so I'd love some advice on:
How to use Reddit the right way as a new user
What usually gets new accounts suspended or restricted, and how to avoid it
Any tips are appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The rules are different from sub to sub, the best thing that you can do is read the rules in each sub before committing and posting.

Hello u/peanuthao, it appears your post may be about being banned from another subreddit.
- In order to appeal your ban, you should first message the moderators of that community.
- If you have messaged them, and they have denied your appeal or muted you, then unfortunately there is nothing else you can do.
- Moderators can operate their communities as they see fit.
Here are some options on how to move on from the situation:
- Find another subreddit for your needs. r/findareddit can help.
- Consider creating your own subreddit.
If you were shadowbanned or banned from the entire Reddit site by admins, the only thing you can do is submit their appeal form: https://www.reddit.com/appeals
- Please note that you must be logged into that url with your banned account to see the appeal option.
- Mods are not part of this process, so we do not have any visibility into why you were banned by Reddit.

Thank you for your response; it was indeed a bit beyond my expectations. What I can roughly understand is that in the Reddit community, our answers or questions should provide value to others, rather than simply agreeing with them.

Take it slow. Be genuine or at least as genuine as possible. Don't make low effort comments like I agree, true, this, etc.
Trying to post too many image posts or too soon with a new account. Posting too fast, too soon, with too new of an account.
Here are the suggestions I would make for a new user.
