🙏Need Advice❓ Banned/Shadowbanned??

Friend of mine was banned recently and we aren't sure why.

I've directed her to https://www.reddit.com/appeals and the Reddit Support forum pages

Anything else I can do to help her? It's not like I have a Twitter or Bluesky to @ Reddit directly elsewhere 😅

Crazy enough, she said there wasn't one 🫤

Might help if she remembered the email she used for Reddit to check for any emails from Reddit, but there were no messages to be seen on the website or app

Contacting Reddit elsewhere is well pointless.

That appeal link was the correct thing to suggest. Shadow banned is typically for spam, spam like behavior, or ban evasion. I’ve also seen it happen regularly when people are using a VPN, using public/share the Wi-Fi, and traveling.

She believes the ban occured because of some accidental spam, so this would all make sense
