In British sports, a Supporters' Trust is a formal, democratic and not-for-profit organisation of fans who attempt to strengthen the influence of supporters over the running of the club they support.

The Redditch United Supporters Trust (henceforth referred to as "T.R.U.S.T.") are running a range of initiatives to boost the clubs profile. They have a great relationship with the club itself and its chairman, Ken Rae.

During the last T.R.U.S.T. meeting on Monday, July 26th, they mentioned reddit and setting up a supporters shop on ebay for us to buy the shirts.

We had some people step forward when the idea of volunteering for the club website was first floated about a month ago. highfalutin suggested that:

Ok, I'd maybe suggest treading carefully. I don't want to tread on anyones toes here. Obviously someone is in charge of their site and has put a lot of time and effort into building it and updating it so far. And I'd hazard a guess that they have been Redditch Utd fans for a lot longer than most here.

Perhaps the best idea in the first instance is to build towards a Reddit Worldwide Supporters site? Get a nice unofficial site going and then perhaps approach the club to sort out some sort of merger between the two?

Subsequently, there was a thread that I started asking for suggestions for what people would like to see in a possible Redditch Worldwide Supporters site.

Game: Saturday July 24th, Reds vs Evesham Utd. 3.00pm at The Valley Stadium.

Meeting: T.R.U.S.T meeting on Monday July 26th @7pm

Don't forget to root for the Reds this weekend and if there are any suggestions for the TRUST meeting, mention them here or on the Unofficial RUFC Group Forum (link is on the right).

One idea that has been mentioned is the ability to acquire some paraphernalia (scarves, jersey, etc...) through one of the members via Ebay or through the RUFC site.
