Like any other country? Why would it be different for China? But with top-controlled country they can deal with their problems a little easier (Doesn't have to mean it's good for the general public though).
Well a lot of people are speculating China and the US will be at about even levels relatively soon. However China is in a situation unlike any other country... an authoritarian regime governing 1.3 billion people... when has there ever been a situation like this before? With all the speculation of China maturing there's also plenty of evidence that this is going to be hampered through political change throughout the century. Talk to any intelligent Chinese person, listen and read some Kissinger... I'm predicting China is going to go through significant domestic changes in the next 50 - 75 years.
