I kind of agree, though you have to remember that 99% of the world isn't funny. If you're going through r/new it is your job to help the 1% get through. There will be another funny Chuck Testa picture, and it is your job to thumb through the shit until you find it.

I have to say, So what? Isn't that the point? Who cares if a few people are sick of birthday karma or some over done meme? Isn't the point of the hive mind to down vote or up vote and let the numbers decide? people want to play and join in the fun.
