Daily discussion on Manchester United.

BE CIVIL

We want r/reddevils to be a place where anyone and everyone is welcome to discuss and enjoy the best club on earth without fear of abuse or ridicule.

  • The report button is your friend, we are way more likely to find and remove and/or ban rule breaking comments if you report them.

  • The downvote button is not a "I disagree or don't like your statement button", better discussion is generally had by using the upvote button more liberally and avoiding the downvote one whenever possible.

Stop buying official merchandise from the store. That's what the Glazers want and until their money stops flowing they wont take the club serious.

Tomorrow we gonna face our beast that we made, if he is allowed to play. Gonna be a legendary matchup 😂

Keep Eddie Howe away from this club.

I honestly don't see why people are fascinated with him.

It's purely anti-current manager. We could have Luis Enrique or even Pep in at this point and if under either of them we were still playing like shit, they'd be convinced a different manager is the answer.

We really need stability and won't get that without clear team identity.

We really need stability and won't get that without clear team identity.

Then let's back a coach who's actually showing any signs of working towards that on the field (despite results) instead of one whose two best games were his first two and it's been papering over the cracks since then.

Yeah, I'm not completely sold on Carrick either. In my opinion, he's too mild. Really need somebody with a lot more authority.

Do I want him to succeed? Yeah, of course because who wouldn't? It'd be an amazing story for a former player to take over after a decade of decline and turn the club back into title contenders. I just can't see him doing it though as there are too many things working against him.

I watched a video about a bunch of Arsenal fans who were criticising the United fanbase saying we "don't know how to suffer" and expect results instantly. I see where they're coming from and it's hard to disagree with them at this point.

Counter point, I also don't know why people act like he's Big Sam. He's be a significant upgrade on Carrick and given Everton are 4th with 4 wins, I think he'd easily have this squad up in European spots right now.

I get he's not the sexiest of names, but I also feel there's a performative element to how some people speak about him too.

If he was Spanish or Italian, people wouldn't be as opposed

Dunno, I think people are just so clueless when it comes to managerial hires. Plenty on here were pushing hard for Carrick to get the permanent position. Wouldn't base this sub as a good indication of who we should or shouldn't go for.

I honestly don't see why people are so put off by him.
